#Motor-insurance avg. premium collected last year was $1,250, down from $1,280 in 2012

The average motor-insurance premium collected last year was $1,250, down from $1,280 in 2012. Furthermore, insurers made their smallest payout in motor-insurance claims in 5 years last year. They paid $712.4 million in claims, $29.7 million less than the $742.1 million the previous year.

Reason? Measures to tackle inflated or fraudulent claims, such as its Motor Claims Framework, are taking effect.
Implemented in 2008, the scheme requires motorists to inform insurers of accidents within 24 hours and makes it mandatory for insurers to conduct pre-repair inspections.
Mr Derek Teo, executive director of GIA, said: "It's now more embraced by motorists. In the beginning, motorists were not so used to it so not many adhered to it."
He added: "Timely reporting gives insurers a better chance to investigate."
Inspections by third-party insurers before the repair works start also cut down the chances of cheating and inflated claims.

So what does this mean to us?
I hope our car insurance premium will fall much more year on year.
However, I also believe that it is our responsibility as an individual driver, to drive defensively and safely to reduce the possibility of an accident on the road. As such, then insurers will have less claims and they should be able to pass on the some of their profit margin to us such that all motor-insurance premium will be lowered.

In summary, if we hope our car insurance premium can drop to a lower level that deem more affordable and reasonable to all of us, we also should do our part by

1) Report any accident timely, but touch wood, hopefully no need to report forever will be best.

2) Drive defensively and safely to reduce the risk and possiblity of accident on the road.

Happy driving!

#MH370 Speculations on the internet closing in? 'Stalked SIA flight to the north through India airspace' ; '3 airports in India are in the flight simulator software'???

'Stalked SIA flight to the north through India airspace'

According to The Malaysian Insider, a Reddit social network contributor named "Sweeperguy" and hobbyist pilot Keith Ledgerwood suggested the theory that lost Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777-200ER had shadowed the Barcelona-bound SQ68 for most of the seven hours it remained in the air.
Sweeperguy said if MH370 had followed SQ68 along a north-west path over India, which he speculated, the missing passenger jet would be near the SIA jetliner over Pakistan five hours from its last known position at 2.15am.
"So, by closely following SQ68 at a similar altitude and speed, it's likely that any Indian radar operator would not notice or question two closely placed primary radar returns as long as he had the expected squawk from SQ68," he added.
In his Tumblr post, Ledgerwood came to the same conclusion that flight MH370 had flown to all the navigational waypoints disclosed by the Malaysian authorities until it was near the vicinity of SQ68 at about 2.15am.
He said it became apparent that when inspecting SQ68’s flight path history that MH370 had positioned itself directly behind the SIA plane "at approximately 18:00UTC and over the next 15 minutes had been following SIA68".
"It is my belief that MH370 likely flew in the shadow of SIA68 through India and Afghanistan airspace.
"As MH370 was flying 'dark' without transponder / ADS-B output, SIA68 would have had no knowledge that MH370 was anywhere around and as it entered Indian airspace, it would have shown up as one single blip on the radar with only the transponder information of SIA68 lighting up ATC and military radar screens," Ledgerwood wrote in a post that has gone viral.

'3 airports in India are in the flight simulator software'

Another Yahoo News posted The Malaysian Insider report, that investigations into the flight simulator taken from the missing pilot's home showed a software for five practice runways, including one belonging to the United States, Berita Harian reported today.
"Among the software we checked so far is the Male International Airport in Maldives, three airports in India and Sri Lanka, and one belonging to the US military base in Diego Garcia. All have a runway length of 1,000 metres," a source told the Malay daily.

Are all these speculations really piecing the puzzles up and are we closing in nearer to the missing plane?
Why did someone want to go through so much hassle to detour the flight towards this direction that is being speculated wildly online?
If there is a motive, let's hope it will keep the passengers and crew alive for negotiation towards a win-win outcome. I am hopeful.
Let's carry on to pray for #MH370

#Suarez is my NEW Robbie Fowler! #LFC

Luis Suarez scored the 3rd goal to seal today's away match against Manchester United. The match ended Manchester United 0 Liverpool 3. The first 2 goals were both scored by Steven Gerard from the penalty spot.

Liverpool has definitely made the correct and worthwhile effort to keep Luis Suarez after the 'Bite' incident in 2013. He is definitely a World-Class striker and he is going to be another Liverpool legend in the likes of Robbie Fowler (my all-time favorite player), Ian Rush and John Aldridge. However, I felt Suarez is much stronger physically and he is insanely passionate about the game. His passion has overflown so much so that he bit and abused in attempt to win a game, although it is morally wrong in this world and we should only learn from his mistakes.

Like any other individuals, no matter a successful sportsman or businessman or actors, when he is passionate about his career, he shown it with his outward attitude and his every efforts that he made, is single-mindedly towards 1 goal, that is to be spot on his goals for SUCCESS.

His energetic performances and achievements never fail to inspire me. I am constantly learning and striving to embrace this passionate attitude and turn it into realistic actions and hopefully consistently successful results.

Kudos to Suarez!

Another video below is about Robbie Fowler and do check out the similarities of the 2 of my favorite players of all times. Both have instinctive visions and strike power to score amazing goals as they not only use their eyes and legs but their hearts to play the game. Enjoy!

After 8 weeks of long drought, it finally rains heavily in Singapore since early in the morning today.
Since 9:30am this morning, my facebook's News Feed has received so many of my friends' posting of pictures of the rain from Woodlands to Pasir Ris, expressing their joy and relief. Hurray! What a cool rest day!
