I LOVE #Singapore Football: #LionsXII 1 Kelantan 2, 08/03/2014; SAD but We will be stronger

The LionsXII suffered a 2-1 defeat to Kelantan in tonight's Malaysian Super League match at the Jalan Besar Stadium.
Singapore striker, Khairul Amri found room and volleyed beautifully past the keeper in the 26th minute to lead the match 1-0.
In the 50th minute, Ahmad Fakri of Kelantan took advantage of a defensive lapse, went pass the defensive line to gleefully tuck the ball in to equalise.
Kelantan were reduced to 10 men in the 78th minute, due to Ahmad Shakir Ali getting his marching orders for a dangerous foul on Afiq Yunos.
But it was 10-man Kelantan which took maximum points with Doe getting the winning goal in the dying minutes of the game after another defensive lapse by the Lions.
In the end, Singapore LionsXII lost the match to Kelantan in today's Malaysian Super League by the scoreline 1-2.

I am surprised that our defense was so static and flat tonight. Our home team lead the match so early in the match but failed to capitalize on the match. There was a lot of uncertainty in the passes and hence a lot of missed passes. Again, CONFIDENCE is lacking but this time round,I felt HEART is missing a bit too.

We need to get some gurus to boost and strengthen the mindset of the team and make them feel like champions thus act like champions. Not just play attacking football but failed to capitalize on the momentum and opportunities and then fall short in defense again and again.

I have faith that we have the talent and the abilities to be a CHAMPION team and we will be knocking on all the podium doors.

Go Lions Go!

#Car Hello drivers! Did you know?

Hello drivers! Did you know?
Some time back, there was a friend ever asked me, " Why there is no car and you still signal?"
I replied him, "Because some car or someone walking that we can't see from inside here may see that we are turning and be aware about their safety as well as ours too."

I LOVE #Singapore Football: Oman 3 #Singapore 1 • 05/03/2014

Oman cruised to a relatively easy 3-1 win over Singapore in the final qualifying match for the 2015 Asian Cup on Wednesday night, 5 Mar 2014.

Oman dominated the match and easily went 3-0 up in the 69th minute. However, the Lions did stun the home fans by grabbing a consolation goal against the run of play. Zulfahmi Arriffin's well-timed lob over the Omani defence found Shahril Ishak through on goal, and the Singapore captain calmly slot the ball in between Ali Al-Habsi's legs into goal.

Shahril's goal was also incidentally the first that the Group A winners had conceded in the qualifying campaign and was also the first shot on target Singapore had registered against Oman over both qualifying matches.

Actually, I always think that Singapore has improved leaps and bounds in terms of discipline, skills and tactical play in recent years. However, our team still lack 1 very important ingredients to be more successful. That is CONFIDENCE.

I felt that in this match, 10 of the 11 players' body language betrayed them. It gave them away to their opponents. When a player collected the ball, his first reaction was to look side or look back for a teammate to pass the ball to, if not pump the ball forward to "no man's land". This action put them into a disadvantageous position and very quickly the opponents players would come chasing after them and snatched the ball away. Only Shahril Ishak will try to hold the ball and face forward and try to move ahead nearer to the opponent's goalmouth. If you check out the way he scored that only Singapore goal; he actually set himself up in a on-side position, timed his run to collect the ball, dribbled the ball ahead and coolly slot the ball past the goalie's legs and into the net. I felt all the Singaporean players have such ability one way or another but they just "scared to lose" (kiasu) and dare not move ahead as much as they should be.

We need to work harder on strengthening the mindset of our players so much so that they must be so confident in their ability that they will think they can beat every team in the world. It is not to be over confident but to be on top of they ability and carry out the job at their fullest potential and true ability.

FAS bring on the big teams and let Singapore beat them up. Very soon, as our team taste success, we will be knocking on World Cup's door.

Let's dream! Let's believe we can do it!

Ole.......! Ole! Ole! Ole!

"Man, the whole world stinks!"

"There was a grandfather whose grand-kids decided to play a trick on him during his regular afternoon nap. They took some potent awful-smelling cheese and rubbed it on his moustache while he was sound asleep on the couch. Within a couple of minutes, his nose began to twitch. He quickly woke up and said, "Boy, it stinks in this room." He left the family room to escape the smell, but it was in the kitchen, too. He took a sniff here and a sniff there. 'It stinks in this room, too," he said.
Frustrated, he went outside to get a breath of fresh air. He took a deep breath, shook his head, and said, "Man, the whole world stinks!"
If the whole world ever stinks for you, might I suggest you look inside? Maybe there are some adjustments you need to make. Bitterness will follow you everywhere you go."

Extracted from the book, BREAK OUT! Joel Osteen

After reading this story then I realized that I should start changing myself and stop criticizing other drivers who did not signal or drive slowly and hogging the road. Why should I grumble and get angry? Why can't I deal with the situation with a better attitude and make my day better than bitter? I am happier now while driving and hence calmer and safer. Ha ha!
I will carry on to get rid of the bitterness of the world and soul search the beauty of LIFE.

#RISK!

1. Consider the odds of the RISK occurring.

2. DO NOT RISK more than what you can afford to lose.

3. DO NOT RISK a lot for a little.

Get insured is the best way to transfer your 'Risk of economic loss' to the insurance company.

Agree?

#Car Put Yourself In Their Shoes.

Interesting perspective.
We should put ourselves in other's shoes and make the road safer.
